Neighbor supports relational models that address poverty through connection and long-term support.

One example is Circles Northwest Arkansas, which brings households navigating economic instability together with community volunteers to build practical pathways toward financial stability. Circles focuses on relationships, resident leadership and systems navigation rather than short-term assistance alone.

Our partnership with Circles NWA has been long-term and growth-oriented. Together, we’ve supported the expansion of the model to double the number of Circle Leaders, increasing the number of households able to participate in the program.

We also partnered to launch the VOIS Institute, a regional leadership development effort designed to equip both community members and leaders with the skills and support needed to drive lasting change.

Most recently, this work has expanded to include a new community-based lending initiative—designed to provide residents with alternatives to high-interest payday loans, particularly for essential needs like car repairs that can otherwise destabilize employment and income.

We know poverty is not solved through transactions alone. It is addressed through opportunity, social capital, and sustained community investment.

By investing in and growing initiatives like Circles, we support work that strengthens economic mobility while restoring dignity, stability, and belonging.
